Also at the New York show this week, Chevrolet will show off SS versions of the Malibu sedan and Maxx wagon. Both vehicles come with a 240-hp, 3.9-liter V-6 engine new to GM's lineup this year, coupled to a four-speed automatic. Big 18-inch wheels and a revised front end distinguish the SS versions from base Malibu's.

The TrailBlazer mid-size SUV gets the SS makeover in New York, too, but its powertrain is altogether more earnest - the 6.0-liter V-8 borrowed from the Corvette and the GTO will push the 'Blazer to 60 mph in less than 6 seconds, GM promises. Performance suspension tuning and a lower ride height, coupled with aero mods and new trim, come with the SSSUV.

They're still horible vehicles. Chevy hasn't fixed any problems with the blazer/trailblazer and the Malibu is just an ugly car period. [&:]

i think that Malibu looks tight, and that the trailblazer is actually some competition for the jeep srt8

As a lifelong chevy guy i have to say that i am really dissapointed with chevy's these days. I owned a s-10 and a silverado in the last few years but there new cars are all ugly and the truck front end is baaad. The trailblazer is a POS . A guy at work is on his second one after taking one bad one back and the new one is junk too. Now Gm has gone and whored out saturn by rebadging other gm products. I just laugh.. .... There was a time when i wouldn't go near mopar and now thats all i own. Go figure.

The SS's cannot compete with the SRT's at all

 

They really should change the SS from super sport to super slow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

The only thing good I've seen come out of Chevy in recent years is the Cobalt and the z06. They didn't help their standing with me any by doing away with the Camaro either.
