Dale Jr. Loses Appeal
It was announced today that Dale Jr. has lost his appeal to NASCAR over his 25 point penalty and his $10,000 fine. He is now second in the Nextel Cup points standing behind Kurt Bush by 24 points with five races to go.

RE: Dale Jr. Loses Appeal
I'm not a Dale Jr. fan mostly because he drives a Chevy, but he's one one of the top two or three drivers in NASCAR and I don't think he should possibly lose the Cup over a silly cuss word.....that would make NASCAR the laughing stock of the sports world.....
It's all about nascar's public image. Not to mention just about every other profesional sport. I personally don't like Gordon (witch most peep's don't), or JR. Jr might just be becaue i never liked his dad. I guess i still like how the King handled himself on and off, and look for that in other driver's.

RE: Dale Jr. Loses Appeal
I can understand the public image concern, but possibly keeping a driver from winning a Championship over a cuss word is a bit of a stretch. Tiger Woods has been heard saying the "F" word after bad tee shots on national T.V. and nobody has threatened to take away any of his wins....and we all know what a bunch of "fuddy-duddies" the PGA is!!!!
Concur with the "class act" of King Richard....[sm=smiley20.gif]
I personally never cared for Dale Jr. at all. But I still can't believe they are making such a big deal out of the word on TV. Not like they say it enough on TV series!
