I have a guy at work who is a real ***. He has a 05 Ram quad cab with the Hemi and 20" Tires. Just catback, intake, and chip. He swears he can "own" me in his real Big Horn truck. I dont want to race and
then get beat and neveer hear the end, but I want to put him in his place. I have headers, true duels, Fipk,
and thats really it. Who will win??

 

You should be able to pull this one out(unless you're a sucky driver). He's got a heavy pig quad cab with 20's. Especially if you have a reg cab RT, it should be no problem. I have no problems walking on the hemi quad cabs ( I race a guy to and from school every morning on the weeks we go together), so I don't think you should have a problem.

 

If I remember correctly, they weigh almost the same. We had this same topic before. I think they are real close in weight.

 

get some juice and if he pulls on you, open up the bottle.. simple as that..

just dont tell him you used the bottle!.. LOL

 

Wait... A Club Cab dakota weighs close to a quad cab ram?? I will prob wait till i get the 1.7 and a throttle body.

I did a quick search and I founf the Ram is arround 5144lbs....I could be wrong. Ithink my dakota weighs about 4500, but I dont remember. So I just dont know how much of a difference there is between mine and yours.

we also determined that qc 5.9l dak was as heavy as a ram, not a cc or rc

 

I knew there was something I was missing, but I did know that we talked about it before.

 

Don't think this will settle anything but I got my truck weighed last week. 2080 Kilos with about a half full tank. Works out at 4576 Pounds. Mine is an extended cab 4.7 AWD.
Also did the TPS mod at the weekend. Best 20mins I've ever spent on the car!
