its not in da car, but in da driver. a car might be fast, but its only as good as da driver can handle and control it.

 

i definitely agree, i've seen drivers that don't know how to drive standard will be beaten by autos.

im thinkin the auto will win..add the cai and the exhaust and the fact he wont slip or over rev....im biased cuz i got an auto...and just to let u know ive beatin up on some 5 spd's.. just be safe is the most important thing...good luck

 

im sorry but it sounds like this "team" has been watching to much F&F. "you gota race and beat some one to get in" Sounds like abunch of ricers that like to endanger other ppls lives for the sake of joining some stupid assclub. If you have todo that to join the club then think wut u have to do while ur in it. no offense to you or anything thats just IMO

 

sounds like a risky thing. but hey like everyone else says, BE SAFE. And to add about you winning. it could be 50-50. you never know with people. the exhaust could be shi**y and not provide enough back pressure. the rims could add or lose weight to the car. You never know how their car is runnin. So good luck post back and play it safe

 

What kind of race is this? A street race?? Like...the only type of street race I have seen in REAL life is just straight forward. In which case the only skill he needs is to push the pedal down all the way. Stock ATX neons are at about 110whp. Stock MTX neons are at about 115whp. You both of CAIs so I would say maybe around +3 or 4 hp for both of you. His full exhaust system could add around 15 or 20whp(not just a catback I'm assuming). And if you are taking corners and stuff its going to be amazing if you win without destroying your tranny. Heal-toe shifting is near impossible with neons... The gas pedal is way far down while the brake pedal isn't. I've tried...I can barely fit my foot into position but its not really long enough to control the gas.

an exhaust does not give u 15 to 20 whp. maybe like 2-5 whp

 

A stock MTX Neon should kill a ATX Neon even if that ATX has a "full exhaust", in some cases an MTX Neon can run a full second faster in the 1/4 mile then its ATX equivilent...
