back when i had my old blue r/t that was stock at the time except for a fart can ad a cold air intake i raced a buddy in his moms 2002 grand am se......well, he smoked the **** outta me......4 times we raced, 4 times he won....im sure it made a bit of a difference since i had 4-12's that weighed about 35lbs a piece with the boxes and some chrome 17 inch wheels.....but i dont hink it made that much of a difference

pacmansxt04 grand ams never had a 3.8 optional, They have the 3.4 ram air in the GT's. Now the grand prixs have a 3.8, and the grand prix gtp has 3.8 supercharged. Unless a neon is modded there is no way it will take a grand am or grand prix. Seeing as a grand am gt runs low to mid 15 sec 1/4 mile times. The grand prix 3.8 runs about the same, and the gtp can run a mid to high 14.

well i can speak from experience on this one because i alredy raced one. Boxer if your a good driver expect to win by 5-6 car lengths maybe more that what happened in my situation and i had a terrible launch. Imo this race isnt even worth your time/risk of getting caught but it is always fun to tally up another win so hell go for it. All my money is on you.

If you won by 5-6 car lengths you either have a 14 second car, or you were raceing an se 4 cylinder grand am.

well grand am gts run faster than that, I'm not sure on the se I think some came with the 3100 v6 and some with the 3400 which wouldn't be alot slower. 5-6 lengths seems like something must of been wrong with the grand am, because it shouldn't have been that big of a win. An se grand am and neon would be a really close race probably. I seriously doubt a neon could take a gt though.

I have a buddy with a 2000+ Grand Prix with the 3.8L. He danced circles around me in his car trying to get me to race him in my stock R/T (Except the CAI and Exhaust, which he had too) I finally gave in and raced him, beat him by 2 car lengths easy. Its all up to the driver, especially in this line up!!

i was racing a budy in his grand prix gtp along time ago.....it wasnt like a 1/4 miles race but more of a distance race.....i just hit 114mph and was shifting into 4th gear while passing him when i brake a rod...it was all over after that....but i still drove the car 4 miles to a place that it could saftely sit rather then on the side of the road[&:]
