Don't let these guys rattle you like that. I believe you.
Personally I get a kick out of watching a turbo K-car stomp a highly modified([sm=laughat.gif]) v-8.
I enjoyed watching the videos, especially the pounding you gave that Honda POS. I can't make out the timeslip you posted thought.

I pulled the POS balance shafts...does that count?
If you open the timeslip you have to zoom in to read it, its really faint, its the 11.68 run I did at KCIR (kansas city)

hmm..i had no idea they could be pushed to that...
there is one (non RT) at my home track....he just hacked the exhaust completely off, and put a big IC on it, and in runs 14 flat...

I'm just trying to set the record straight as to what is and what isn't. It matters not to me wether your R/T runs 20's or 5's in the 1/4 mile, just as long as the info is correct. And the better your R/T runs, the happier it makes me, because that means all the other non-Mopars are left farther back. The only reasons I questioned you and your claims is because of the conflicting information you have presented and because I know of hundreds of FWD cars that are running 10's and lower at the track and that are street driven, but that list doesn't reflect that. Your timeslip was very hard to read, but it was easy once I angled my screen to darken the image. Keep up the good work.

no no....i mean with that little work done to them. liek those 10s cars at the nationals (like the blue shelby) are full aftermarket drivetrains. the guy from my area running mid to low 10s has a heavily built late model 2.4 out of a stratus, basically an SRT4 setup, bottled. i dont knwo if you saw him or not, but aside from the slicks, it looks all stock, and is amazing.
I suppose the amount of work, like the cost of the work, is subjective. You can probably get a stock one to run 11's with little work, but like everything else it may not last long.
You can easily get a turbo Dodge into the 10's with no money at all, but chances are that the engine will blow during the first run. What it does is cause it to allow it to have virtually unlimited boost, but once the compression gets that high somethings gonna break. They use to do a toned down version of this back in the 80's with the turbo Dodges by using a bleeder to allow more boost (it lessens how much boost the PCM see's allowing more boost before the wastegate opens), but to still limit it. This can still easily cause a lean condition and detonation though. So, you can get one into the 10's for free, but it will only work once since it's gonna blow on that run. It would be worth it if you could sucker someone into that race for high enough stakes, then who cares if it blows.

Your refering to a grainger valve which bypasses the computer controls to the wastegate, then you need to do a zener diode to stop excess voltage to the computer so it doesnt cut fuel. That means the computer cant see the boost to supply fuel, hence the cold start injector w/ pressure switch setup.
You can only get so much boost out of a little mitsu turbo, the T3 turbo that coomes on R/Ts is totally wasted at 300 h.p. and that requires a exhaust and IC upgrade to make. So no way to make a 10 sec TD without some good mods. Im building a low to mid 9 second TD (all drag), and its costing a pretty penny. Theres a number of old TDs making 350-450 h.p. and stock pistons and rods, I know of one with a Precision SC61 turbo and alky injection making 500 h.p. and 514 tq at 32 psi with all stock internals, how long it lasts I have no clue.
