I don't even know how this stuff worked, but I think it would be fun.

i have been in one once...its not very involved...you pick a group of drivers, the drivers are tiered, and whoevers group has the highest average finish wins.

 

for example there is a football fantasy league here at work.
how it works I have no clue, but I would be willing to learn.
I think it would have to be hosted by a 3rd party site with a system already in place.

NASCAR fantasy is Much easier to do than football..i have been in large fantasy football cash leagues where you have to pick which players play for you each week, so on..its very invovled...this is basically picking drivers, and hoping that they do well.

 

from the ones at the NASCAR.com site it looks like you have a stable of 3 to 4 drivers and pick one or two before each race.
same driver can't be picked 2 weeks in a row.

 

Yeah I'll join. I join one every year, just never thought of it for DF unitl I wa alreay a part of one and I was going to bring it up next season but you already have lol. If you don't know how to do it I can, I've done it before so...

ok...for us to do it ourselves, i can start a thread in this section...a few of us, who have AIM, need to have a talk and discuss who should be in which tier...and you have to pick one guy from each tier, for each race.

i think three tiers...with examples:

tier one-phony stewart
tier two-jeremy mayfield
tier three-boris said

you are to start one person in each tier, every race, and you cant start the same guy twice...so basically, everyone needs AT LEAST 6 drivers.
the league that i was in, you used your average position between your three drivers, and you get bonus points for top 5, top 10, winning,

the problem with a preordered league, the season is already well under way...so any ideas? amanda and i are in...i figured that chud and boulee are in....maybe todd...matt?

heres an idea....

if 42 cars qualify, the car that wins gets 41 points..the car that finishes last gets 0.

5 point bonus for winning.
50 point bonus if all three are in the top 5
25 point bonus if all three are in the top 10.
10 point bonus for leading the most laps.

SO...any ideas?
