I have an S-trim setup (Vortech) and I am getting right at 9lbs of boost. My internals are stock but with the larger injectors, bigger fuel pump, colder plugs and a conservative tune, it is about as safe as it can be (keeping my fingers crossed). Before adding the Steeda Boost Pipe, I was only seeing about 7.5lbs. I was dynoed originally on 91 octane fuel in the mid 300s (can't show my hand that easily) and that was before the addition of the Boost Pipe and a Bassani Catted X-Pipe. My next step is going to be an Air-to-Air Intercooler by Paxton. I should be able to break the 400 RWHP mark relatively safely with that installed. Good thing it is not a daily driver when it does eventually go BOOM! I did not mean to bag on the previous post, but I am a stickler about honesty when it comes to these 'kill' posts. I went head to head with a Evo on Christmas morning here on 75 and let me tell you, that was a fast car. We went from a 50 MPH roll and were door handle to door handle at the top of 4th gear (for me anyway) when I let off for traffic. No kill, for either of us really, but loads of fun! I would imagine he had some mods, I am not very familiar with these cars, but the turbo was SCREAMING loud! Sorry for the long post, got a little off track! As far as times, I have run a 12.61 @ 109.

All I know is the cobra he had had a 351 W/ a supercharger!!! I saw it under his hood. The car is not that fast!!! I live in the south, almost everybody either has a mustang or a camaro!!! I had a 92 Camaro w/ a 327 it it, or is that too unbelievable??!!! I know what these cars can do, and his didn't perform. The guy still won't race me again!!

What I know about mustangs aint much as I stopped caring when I got rid of mine back in 95, but the horsepowers I remember from recent mag articles were like 305 for the N/A 4.6 (cobra) and 390 for the supercharged version. I'm not saying a Neon cant beat a blown moostwang but it had better be a FAST Neon. I think 305 hp would be enough to make it a 13.xx car and 390 would be right at low 13's high 12's. Did this guy put a blower on himself or is it a factory supercharged engine? A well done stage 2 Neon could hit high 12's.

stage 2 for high 12s? ive seen a stage 1 hit high 12s...the problem is many SRT4 drivers cant order the "good driver mod" from howell automotive...
the "terminator" cobras (03 & 04) are 390hp, and with a good driver should run high 12s, but ive seen a few that also didnt have a good driver, and they were chugging their way through in the mid 13s...this was an older cobra, so it couldnt have been factory blown.
and how could you look at an engine and tell what cubic inch it was? there hasnt been a 351 in a mustang for quite a while, and if this guy has a swapped in 351, and its blown, and it lost to your stage 2 srt4, he should kill himself.

I only run a 3.73 gear ratio and I am at the very top of 4th gear coming through the traps. 5th gear in the 3650 Tremec falls off almost 800RPM. The car will almost fall on its face (relatively speaking), on the 4-5 shift. If you can't prove who is faster by the end of the quarter mile...Who Cares? The '03/'04 Cobra put about 370 of those 390 horses to the wheels. These cars trap in excess of 110MPH in stock trim. Anybody can get one of these into the 12s with an average launch (2.1 60ft or so). The '96, in stock trim, probably didn't hit more than 103 or so in the quarter (I may be off by a little). The point is, the distance he put on you initially was a clear domonstration that his car was faster. When you 'reeled' him in, it was probably due to the fact he either quit or...yeah, probably just quit. How much horsepower is your car putting to the wheels? What kind of times have you run? I am just curious.

he doesnt race on the track....hes a "Street racer"....
are you sure that the terminator only loses 20hp from crank to wheels? thats only a 6% drivetrain loss, and that would make it one of, if not the most, efficient RWD car ever built....also, id be surprised to see a stock 96 cobra trap 103...thats almost as fast as me, and i run mid 12s...
