RE: 5.9L R/T vs. Hemi
Sorry, but I think the Dakota will still get you. The Dakota weighs just under 4200 lbs and has a 3.92 gear stock. Even with your short bed and regular cab your truck is maybe under 5000 lbs? But you both have got to be close. It may just come down to who gets a better launch out of the hole.

Do you guys know what they put down to the rear wheels stock? I figure mines making 280rwhp with my mods...and it comes stock with like 260rwhp. I know to the crank, I own him...but that's whole nother ball game. I think my hypertech should give me the race cause it lets my rev higher...and thats where my power is. My top end 3rd gear pulls like a mother f'er!

I think it will be a good race. Don't underestimate the old 360. That is probably the most underestimated Mopar v-8. Everyone I have ever ridden in runs really good. Our shop parts truck is a 3/4 ton lwb Dodge van with a mag 360. When it's empty, it's a darn quick s.o.b. It's an auto and it'll squawk the tires on the 1-2 shift.
