Tonight I was just cruising with my girlfriend and I stopped at a light and I got the music playing, (My Lumps, Black Eyed Peas), anyways I was sitting there and I heard an engine rev, I look over and there's this early 2000 Malibu sitting there, I turned the music down and i hear him rev again, at this point i got one of those open mouth'd 'HuH' look on my face, well he rev's hard so i of course return the favor. Light turns green and I take off a little harder then normal in first gear nothing special, the malibu of course pulls hard and is probaly 2 car lengths ahead by the time i throw it in 2nd and floor it. by the end of 2nd and in the beginning of 3rd im pulling hard on him, by the time i hit 4th im about a car and a half ahead and only opening the gap, we get to the next light and he puts his window down, i looked at him and he had a dumbfounded look on his face, "That Ain't No Neon Yo What You Do To It?", lol i smirked, said just some things and pulled off.....I love ppl. that think I only have a neon lol. Sorry for the long story guys, im not good at them and figured i give all the details i can lol

My car was mistaken for a Viper today....a VIPER?! HELLLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fkn people are idiots. Drunken car wash morons at the Richmond Car Wash. They were like "Ohhhh my god she drives a VIPER!" Not one of the 10 people there could drive a standard....wtf is that?

I got a good Dumb Chevy driver story to add that you might like.
When I was a teen and on a teens budget, my "street racer" was nothing less than a full boat 72 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham 4dr w/all bell's and whistles. (think early 80's) Complete with the requisite 440 4 bbl. The "standard" engine for that model if you knew anything of Chryslers.
Well anyway, me and my buddies were forever combing junkyards back then looking for good castaway perfomance parts like low gears, hp exhaust manifolds etc. I, on one trip had come across a dual snorkle aircleaner off of a mid seventies HP 360 engine. Even then, I knew a dual snorkle was "special" and this one said "360" on the lid. So I bought it. I then saw that it may just be cool to put the 360 lid on my 440 aircleaner. I thought who knows, it might fool somebody someday. Well that day was remarkably short in coming as I soon found out. Back then, we used to cruise and park by a strip mall and we would pop the hoods to let our monstrous v-8's cool as they were forever running hot due in part to out driving styles I'm sure. Well, someone must have gotten a look at the aircleaner and did not know a Mopar BB from an SB. Later, I was down at the illegal racing venue when 3 guys in a green '72-ish 2 door Impala actually sought me out and issued a challenge. They were so eager to run and they had me thinking they had something. I said sure, but just for fun. They were all laughing and carrying on. Then, as I lined up I saw the 400 badge on the front fender, but I figured they were pulling a deception trick as well and probably had a 454 or something. Well, I figured I had my work cut out for me, but I used to beat my cuz in his 454 Caprice all the time. In fact, as big boats go, my old 'Yorker was faster than all but 2 other fullsize cars than I had EVER run (1 '72 455 Bonny and 1 '68 430 Buick Wildcat) and that list was long. Big as it was, it'd run 15's. So what, It was just for fun anyway I thought. Well, when the flagmans hands dropped, I gave it hell. I left the good ol boys with their much beloved 400 SB like a bad habit, I didn't let up either, the whole way pulling and pulling away. Probably had 'em by 10 car lengths easy. I was expecting more than that from them even if they had a stock 400. They catch me on the return and tell me that's one badass 360 I got. Then it all made sense. I laughed and graciuosly told them well this is a stock 440. They did not seem real happy about that. I got a good laugh out of it though. Bad thing was, it couldv'e been they raced a guy I knew who had a stock 72 Plymouth Sport Fury with an HP 360 in it. He would have beat them just as bad as we would go neck and neck. Anyway, the moral of that story was their ignorance turned out to be my bliss. What's worse, being punked by a Neon, or punked by a New Yorker? My Neon does, very much in that same way, let me live out a second teenagerhood.

I'm sure there was no way to even get a viper through that car wash. The tires are so wide they wouldn't fit into the tracks. Not to mention the owner would have to be shot for trying.
