The 4 door factor is the ONLY reason I waited as long as I did to get one. After I had seen one in black it was all over, the black seems to help mask the 4 door factor.

Put the Mirada back on the street. The SRT-4 is a cool little car, but personally, I'd like something a bit bigger. I can't wait to see what the Intrepid replacement is going to end up looking like.

Back to beating things with your SRT-4, bet you haven't beat a WRX(unless hes a bad driver/your SRT is modded), at least to about 60-80. Prove me wrong(go out and do it).

 

An SRT-4 running on 3 cylinders could beat a WRX. You must be thinking of a WRX STi, because a WRX is only good for 6.1 sec. 0-60 MPH and 14.52@92.86 MPH in the 1/4. However, the STi is good for 5.1 sec. 0-60 MPH and 13.35@102.58 MPH in the 1/4.[sm=smiley2.gif]

 

Well that all depends on the driver too, like i think Motortrend got a 0-60 time in 4.8 on the WRX Sti. Sort of like how Automobile magazine got the 300C 0-60 in 6.3, Mototrend in 5.8, and Car and Driver in 5.3! It all depends on whos driving.

 

the mirada is nearing streetability, i just need to find out which PA tag will allow me to skirt the emmissioon laws. id like to get it to 12.50s, then plate it up.

when that happens, bring on the SRT4s

Well, WRX are said to be able to(tested by Car & Driver) go to 0-60 in 5.4 and 1/4 in 14.1@95, also tested by car and driver, the SRT-4, going 0-60 in 5.6 and 1/4 in 14.3. I have tested my buddies WRX and with two pass. and easy out of 1st and ran a 6.01 0-60 and a 14.7@92. So, I am quite sure the a WRX (with an average driver) could beat a SRT(as much as I like the SRT) atleast in the 1/4. Has anyone personally,both stock, beat a WRX on here with an SRT? The STi I know could blow the doors off one, but they're $33k. I really like the SRT but dont know how they could beat a comparable in weight car with more hp and AWD. Just my own opinion, I really DO love the SRT, I just know that the WRX is a quicker car(stock).

 

I would just like to correct you on one thing, Cra and Driver did a test on a 2004 SRT-4 with 230 hp and got 0-60 in 5.3 and a 1/4 mile in 13.9, so the SRT-4 could probably beat the WRX, but not the STi by no means. Sorry I cant answer your question though, I wont be getting my license for another 2 years.
