well,off to the track tonight with the mirada,and my buddy in his 95 2.0 5-speed sebring, after we blew the thing up exactly 2 months ago...so he rebuilt the top end, and has stripped the interior out...and is gonna run my little RT dr's,to see what itll turn before putting the good head/2g turbo on it. anyway...we are expecting high 40s tonight and no air..nice dry cool racing air..

i ran 12.68 in the high 60s...so bimmerbob is calling for the high 50s tonight...

as for the sebring, bimmerbob is predicting itll leave on a trailer..

who else is runnin tonight?!?!

well, if for the last 3 years Everyone questioned your ability on something you enjoyed doing/were good at,youd get pissed after a while...all of his friends at the track, so on..."you outta drive it yourself...he has to be doing something wrong"...'something' to the tune of 1.68s 60' times..consistent mid 5's lights on fair days...second in street 3 weeks ago @ quaker...just because im having a sub-par season this year, i have to deal with everyone going on in the series about me not doing well...

 

Dude. You need to relax and laugh it off. They are just having fun. Maybe because of that you will do better by trying harder.

 

Got to admit too that he does pretty good for a 67 YO guy. Of course, being 140 lbs. helps a bunch.

 

i feel like when i get up there, everyone is watching me...guys in my class say stuff like, youve really been fightin with the car this year...or fightin with the tree this year...ESPECIALLY at keystone...people kept walking up talking to me from the area..like i was expected to win...it sucked...


and his age aside, i consider myself lucky to have his ability and wisdow on my side....although sometimes, his logic gets a bit odd..like:
