Ramcharger, Trailduster & Power Wagon Grrrr!! Tough Trucks! The Dodge Ramcharger and Plymouth Trailduster were full size SUV's that had good looks and brute strength. The Dodge Power Wagon was comparable to them in toughness, but came in pickup truck form only.

How far do your bumpers stick out to allow room for the winch inside? Im thinking in the ballpark of 7 inches? Mostly interested in how far out on your '08 but also your 75? Nice trucks by the way!

they are both close to 7in. the one on the dak has a 10 in. wide top but 3-4 in, of it is behind the grille. it all depands on what style and type of winch you use.

what size metals did you use?
mostly all 3/16", the 75 has 1/2" brackets and 3/8" front, to support the front mount winch and grille guard, the dak is all 3/16" with 1/4" brackets

3/16 is what I was thinking. 1/4 would be too heavy. Im thinking of using 5/8 for my brackets and 3/8 for mounting plates. Looks like most of the winches are about 6.5 inches deep so the bumper would have to be around 7 inches for enough room plus a bit under the grill. Did you make a mounting bracket for your winch or did you buy it?

Thanks for the info!
