Ramcharger, Trailduster & Power WagonGrrrr!! Tough Trucks! The Dodge Ramcharger and Plymouth Trailduster were full size SUV's that had good looks and brute strength. The Dodge Power Wagon was comparable to them in toughness, but came in pickup truck form only.
Hey everyone how's it goin got a quick question for ya I got my 88 ramcharger has a 318 that I converted to carb has a 4brrl edelbrock carb with a low rise dual plain intake has long tube headers with 373 gears it 4wd has 33 1250 15 tires I put a sum 6900 cam in her and it's a good cam but I'm wanting more lope anyone know of a good cam for off roading with some lope to it I have heard the sum 6901 cam but I don't want to buy it and not like the results thanks in advanced.
That's what I keep hearing it has good power and torque now but yeah it's to smooth of a idle for me I might have to give up some low end torque for for a rpm cam to get some lope
A lopey idle just sounds good and I wasn't looking to do it for sound that's why I'm on this forum asking if there is a cam that has low end torque with a lopey idle

There are plenty of cams that will give you both, as long as you don't get carried away. The 6901 is a good choice it will give you a slight lope, and still have plenty of bottom and mid range power. Especially with the 3.73. I'm runniy it in my 85, 9.0:1 318. Basically the same set up you have. Using it till bodywork is done, then the little 318 gets stroked. Hope this helps.

That's actually a fairly mild cam.... (assuming the Summit 6901..... as you didn't specify) If you have a lumpy idle, I would be looking for other causes......
