Ramcharger, Trailduster & Power Wagon Grrrr!! Tough Trucks! The Dodge Ramcharger and Plymouth Trailduster were full size SUV's that had good looks and brute strength. The Dodge Power Wagon was comparable to them in toughness, but came in pickup truck form only.

Cool 73 PW front axle ujoints ??

I'm trying to locate the information on how to do ujoints on the front axle of my 73 Adventurer 4x4 with a 360 manual trans and np205 transfer case. I feel like I'm running in circles. Can someone direct me to the right direction? Thanx

The out joints on the axles in the front diff?? Gotta dismember pretty much the whole outer knuckle, then pull the axles out.

No "quick fix" in doing them. Put in good quality Spicer (SPL) joints, Might want to inspect the ball joints also.

I think I may have 'broken an axle' in my 1977 M880, I took a slow speed sharp turn on pavement and due to my 4WD shift lever being quite wonky, I didn't know I was in lock..I heard a BOOM and am sure something broke on the front right side...what would it most likely be? Have not had time to climb under the truck yet.
