Default Replacement Headlamps For Sport?

Looking to replace my headlamps on my '96 Indy. I have ordered two sets from Carid and they did not seat all of the way and the set now in my possession have the wrong sockets. They have finally asked for the VIN # and have determined that I have a "Sport" model and very few options apparently exist. I spent a lot of time on the phone/email with them and they finally admitted that they have no way of filtering out lamps that will fit Sport models specifically.

I am hoping to find one-piece, smoked units but am willing to consider anything that will fit.

Can't help you what to get, but would suggest adding an addition ground wire from the lights direct to the battery for the best results.

I replaced my headlamps four years ago and they now look much worse then the originals. Unfortunately, I cannot find a record of where I purchased the $140 trash.

I believe I purchased mine from either AM-Autoparts.com or Rock Auto, but that was some time ago. I also installed a relayed wiring harness from these folks (https://ceautoelectricsupply.com/hea...ion-relay-kit/) to try to get the most light I could from these headlights without frying the stock headlight switch.

I would like to purchase something other than stock...maybe smoked/LED. My truck is an Indy which apparently is considered a Sport and has different sockets?

What type of headlamp would require the "relayed wiring harness"?
Did not expect to be going through this again four years later.

What year is it? Up until 98.5, Sport headlights were the same as the regular ones. In 98.5 and up, they were dual bulb housings.

Yours will be exactly the same as the non-sport headlights then.

My first post explained that I had to return two sets of lights due to mine being a "sport" model.

Below this is a thread from TDPalmer who had a similar issue that does not appear to be resolved. I will try to contact him.
