. Hey guys, I'm trying to install a leveling kit on my pickup. So I ordered a rough country 2.5 leveling kit, got the kit, put the coil spacers and put new shocks all the way around. Then I go to the back and realized that rough country wants you to stack the rear lift blocks I guess, because they sent me 2in blocks and longer u bolts. I didn't want to stack them and the truck looked good so I put them on the shelf. Well now I have installed a ranchand grill guard and the shocks loosened up and it started nose diving again, so I figured Id just pull the oem 3in rear blocks and put the 2in on. Then after getting the truck tore apart I noticed that the pins, or alignment pins, are on the wrong side. On mine, the pin is coming from the leaf spring and there is a hole in the axle mount. Can I flip the blocks? Because the rough country blocks are the other way around, (pin on top, hole on bottom). Or what should I do here? Has anyone else had this problem?
I know the ranch hand bumpers are HEAVY. You *might* try using 3/4 ton springs in front. That will get you a bit of lift as well. (and you might be able to skip the spacers.)
Man I tell ya, I want to go in a put a 3in lift and just forget about the coil spacers, but if do that I don't think having 33in tires will look right. Lol if I go with taller tires, I'll have to regear and I don't think I'm quite smart enough to take that project on yet.
Check out some pics on pintrest, or wherever, of trucks with 3" lift, and 33's. You aren't going much higher than you did with the spacers, and that bumper is still going to bring it down some.
That said, I have 33's on my 2500, and they still look small. (no lift at all.)
