That's good news so can you tell me why my end shafts are different is mean tranny I pulled from my 1500 is 41/2 inches longer than the one I picked up out of 2500 other than that everything seems to be the Same frustrating this is new to me but thought I try to do it to teach myself
That seems odd, there shouldn't be that much difference. Does the new trans have to adapter housing that goes between the trans and t-case? I could see a half inch different, but, not 4 plus inches difference. In all reality, there shouldn't be ANY differences between the two.
Nope. V-8's got the 46RE regardless of truck weight rating. Even the 3500's with the 5.9 gas engine got the 46RE. 47 Came behind the 8.0/diesel in heavier trucks, and later, the diesel got the 48RE.
Everything went in not a problem tell i threw t case up then brick wall goes in just short od being able to start nut almost 2 hours for me to think this is not going to work
This tranny came from a wreaking yard and someone had beat me to it and being green to this in my hast to self teach didn't give it much thought rough day at school you can say
