Default Band adjustments 46re

Hey all, tried to adjust the bands on my 46re at work. Front band screw didn’t seem to want to stop moving. How far in will this thing go? What’s the bad news if it goes way far in, like flush with the lock nut... no slippage just wanted to freshen her up and keep it happy for as long as possible. We put the screw back where it was for now out of caution. Also I’m a Chevy tech soooo dodge tranny’s I don’t know much about

If it gets flush with the locknut that means the band is to thin. HeyYou once said that a online store sells slip in bands. If I may ask what kind of socket did you use to adjust the rear one? Was it a square head? I couldn't find one to fit mine. Also don't listen to the FSM on the number of turns to back off it's wrong. Check out MonteC thread on here as he tells you how much to turn it.

Didn’t get to the rear band, psyched myself out with the front band expecting the worst of a shot band. Didn’t get too far but it just seemed to keep going, I’ll try again tomorrow and see where it stops. Hoping for the best, I’ll check out monteC post for sure!
