Checked my FM reception with the HID's on since I always listen to Sirius.....Unless you are VERY close to the broadcasting station, there is condsiderable static on my usual stations. Turn off the headlights, it goes away. I was hoping this wasn't a "you get what you pay for" but I guess that statement stays true with me.

 

Which brand or seller did you get your HID lights from? I'm having the same issue with my FM as well. I got the kits from VVME. I've purchased a dozen kits from them in the last few years for various motorcycles, including bikes with a CanBus system and have had no issues at all until now.

 

HIDextra. I do have a HID kit on my Street Glide which may be causing the poor radio performane on it but it was bad before the HID kit. I think it's the short antenna but can't tell easily since the headlight cannot be turned off.

I have to say the hids are great light, but as soon as I turn on the lights say good by to the FM radio I wish I would have known this before I bought these kits for my dads truck and also mine. If there is a fix please let me know because driving with no radio really sucks.

 

Sorry, I posted as soon as I found out. Sounds like we are the few that still listen to FM. If they ever offer local radio over sat like TV, I may listen to it more.

 

Yea I guess free things in life are gone now even radio oh well I can sure se at night though. I guess pay $50,000 for a truck what another few hundred a year for sat radio lol
