HID Special $60.00 Shipped for Dodgeforum members
Alright lil jo here's what I know and went through to get it right. HID kits are a nightmare if you don't get the right one. I went through 3 different kits from three different companies claiming to have "plug and play" systems. I'll spare you the details of what I went though as I tend to ramble on. You have the Quad headlight set up. In other words your low beam and high beam are separate bulbs unlike the dual filament single of the body style before ours. HIDextra.com is the only place that got it right, but you MUST put "need capacitors" in the notes during checkout. Plug the wires in exactly the way the diagram shows. Without the capacitor I found HIDs just don't work correctly on our trucks. Its not hard to do and I took detailed pics of each step I can send you if you need them. The fogs are super easy and no capacitor is needed, just the lows need them. Don't put HIDs in your high beams, the bulb talks a min to warm up so if you flash someone the highs wont come on immediately and over time is bad for the bulb. The most popular temp is 6K but I settled into 5Ks after being pulled over with 6Ks and hassled by a cop. The average high end car (Mercedes, BMW, Lexus etc.) run 4300K through projector lenses. My 5Ks are pure white/slight blue in color, even though the company says 5s are slightly yellow (halogen like). Its your call, but Ive had both and I haven't had any problems with people high beaming me or getting pulled over. I have them in my lows and fogs (H11 and H13 if I'm not mistaken). So as my ramble comes to a close, go with HIDextra.com kit in the temp you want and make sure you type "need capacitors" in the note section of checkout. If you have any questions feel free to PM me and i'll explain why running HIDs through projector lenses is so different from running them through reflector pockets found in our trucks. I spent 3 months doing trial and error so if you follow this info you wont have to. Not sure on the Altima but they have good customer service so just ask. Good Luck bro.
HI,
No our kits are plug and play, see below sample diagram, what is the yr make model of both your vehicles?
This is how your setup should be
bulbs --> ballast --> Wire harness --> Oem connector
If need capacitors
bulbs --> ballast --> capacitors --> Wire harness --> Oem connector
Let me know thanks!
Michelle

I got my 6K HIDs put on today. Had my local stereo and alarm shop do it while they were doing both. They look fantastic, fire right up, same color (lows and fogs), way better than the kit I put on my last truck (Tundra Crewmax). Thanks for your help Michelle, loving them!!!
