Default Wipers wiped out!!

More than likely this happened a couple weeks back when we had ice. Seems they all went kaput. The motor still turns though.

The bushings dry rot. You can get replacements through Dorman.

Well, I've had a set of Dormans on my 1988 since ... 2012 or so. But yah, OEM would be better.

If you put some white lithium grease on the joints before assembly, they go together easier, and last longer.

Meh...I've got Dorman bushings on vehicles over 6 years....never an issue. Most times I definitely agree OEM and for the small price difference if they're available get them. But in this case Dorman isn't junk.

This.

Although I used moly lithium grease; it's what I have, and what my front wheel bearings are packed with.

I have tried the Dorman ones before.... and as with several Dorman products since they went overseas I have had short life since from some of their products..... including these particular bushings.... I'm talking same issue within a few months.... though I know that these days on a lot of different parts, you have 3 choices... Dorman (and re replace tour parts more often than you'd like) put on used parts (which in some instaces I have had last me longer than new imported crap. parts....... though I would not go to a junkyard for thee particular parts that this thread is about, by themselves) or live with your truck being broke.

Done deal. Went to NAPA and bought replacement bushings. Both went on with a hammer.

I took everything out of the cowl for assembly.
