Default 1993 Dodge Dakota 318 V8/5.2 liter with 46RH/A518

Hello, I've been having transmission issues and I'm trying to figure what the issue is so I'm going to put the down the symptoms below and see what the general consensus is. 1st and 2nd work pretty good but it's 3rd/OD that is acting very wonky. Whenever you first start it up and go for a drive... you have to bump the gas real harshly or stomp the gas and then let off for it to shift into 3rd/OD. But after about 5 minutes of driving or after it gets warmed up pretty good... it doesn't want to shift into 3rd/OD at all. The fliter/fluid and gasket has been changed out and while that helped, that did not solve the issue... does the bands need adjusting or could it be the OD solenoid need replacing? Please let me know what you guys think below.

If you aren't getting third gear, you won't get o/d either. Adjusting the bands *might* help, but, don't hold your breath.... Recheck fluid level though, gotta check in neutral, checking in park gives an artificially high reading.

That’s debatable.

Depending on how it shifts into the gears may want to check the throttle valve/kick down cable and adjust as necessary. Just to cover all bases.

I'll definitely do that as well, 1st and 2nd kick in really well but like I said it's only 3rd/OD this isn't working right... you think maybe even messing with the accumulator springs might help a lil bit?
