Govenor Pressure Sensor (need to replace)
I have a code on my check engine light for the govenor pressure sensor. I have called my local Aamco and they will replace it for $440. I have been doing some research and it appears its not that hard to do and it is located under the transmission pan. I called advanced auto, pep boys, etc.. and they have no idea what a govenor pressure sensor is. Is it called something else or can you only get it from the dealer? Also is it just right inside the transmission pan? See pic below that I found online. Parts from Dodge Sensor 120...solenoid 155

I have to call Dodge and give them my VIN to get my transmission model as the solenoid and sensor are different for the three different trans models. I found the parts on Aut Zone but they are called something different so thats why it was hard to find. Amaco pisses me off they wanted 440 to change 200 in parts. I am glad I researched this

ok wow glad I did research. So far I got the service manual, read up on how to do this (not hard), I need to get someone at home to read me my VIN so I can get the trans model number from the dealer, then call NAPA or whoever and get the parts. I am thinking of just changing the sensor and not both the sensor and solenoid and seeing if it works. The up side is if it works I save abotu 100 the downside is if it doesnt i have to take the pan off again
