Default ABS vs Non ABS axles fitment

Hey guys sorry if this was asked already. I searched and couldn稚 find any exact info I知 looking for.

I have 01 1500 Sport without ABS in front. Seems as though I知 having a hard time finding non abs axles and if I do they are crazy money. I read that ABS axles with the tone ring will fit. My question is I知 doing my whole front steering, suspension and brakes and bought everything needed. Will a non ABS hub fit on an ABS axle?

Also I知 showing Mopar part number 501536AB and also seen this from 03-08. Will 03-08 axles work. My front axle is a Dana 44.

No the axles won't fit as they are CV joints no straight axle. The hub should fit as all they did was add a tone ring to the back.

So for confirmation ABS axles will work with non ABS hubs? They look the same with just the tone ring added but I wasn稚 sure if there was a depth issue.

Mopar is showing the same axle with that part number working from the late 90痴 with a Dana 44 through 2003 - 2008 but superseded with a new part number for 2003-2008.

Correction from late 90痴 to 2001 then superseded with a different part number from 2003-2008. Usually a superseded part number will fit just an updated part number for the newer years. Just like the upgrading to the newer track bars will fit but thicker but will fit with the same geometry.

2002 on the 1500s they used CV joints no straight axles. The 2500/3500s had straight axles but switched from DANA to AAM. It won't fit

Also the newer track bars aren't a direct bolt in, you have to buy a bracket

I am pretty sure the axles will work. The hubs are the same dimensions and like you said all they did was add a tone ring

The ABS axles should work is what he is saying. 2002 and up 1500's are independent front suspension, and entirely different design from the Dana 44. Nothing from the newer trucks will interchange.
