Default Air conditioner problem!

Hey everybody,

My heater works fine, but my air conditioner keeps blowing hot air even when its turned to cold.

It also blows hot air through the vents when the fan is off and turned to cold.

Why does hot air come through the vents when everything is off???

Please advise!!!

If you are as dumb as me, you might own your truck for, say, 11 months before you figured out that the top vent selector **** also can be switched to the off position, pointing at 6 o'clock. I was so excited when I figured that out on friday haha.

This is if you have the early (94-97) style dash. I have no clue about the 98-01/02 dashes, as I don't own one.

As for the air conditioning blowing hot, check for leaks in the system and see if it needs a recharge.

What about the blend door? I used my A/C the first summer I had the truck then all of a sudden it would blow hot air, and will blow hot air even with all the control's off. Very annoying as it's just about summer already here in South Ga.

Assuming it's a dodge ram , is there any possible chance we can have some info on it? Like what year it is at least? Add all the info about it to your sig and profile.

You can put that info in your signature and it will show each time so everyone knows what you are working with. 2wd or 4wd?

Also, any result on blend door?
