cam timing

Default cam timing

hi, got an 01 5.2. changed the timing chain set to a cloyes double roller and used their 4 degree advance setting. will this play havoc with the computer? thanks, dave.

No, not at all, it'll just lower the power band a little in the RPM range.

This is the general consensus. That's why when I did mine I set it to 0*.

thanks for the response fellas, already have it in, and don't mind if it makes no difference just as long as it doesn't mess with the fuel timing. thanks again, dave.

And, having it in, do *you* notice a difference?

I also have an '01 5.2 and I noticed no difference.

If you didn't remove the distributor, or cam, the computer won't notice.
