Default Need help

1995 dodge 1500 5.9 liter, truck was running fine and then one day driving home. It started surging and hesitating, no power. I have replaced the following parts, idle air valve, thorttle position sensor, crank sensor. It idles fine, until I decide to shift it and in reverse or drive it stalls out, no codes or check engine light. Need help.

Did you clean out the throttle body where the iac goes? It gets clogged up with carbon. You may want to check what kind of fuel pressure you have also to rule that out.

I'm with Moparite - my 5.2l did the same thing. Had it towed to the stealership. They cleaned out the TB and I was out of there an hour later for $125.

Thorttle body was removed and all sensors removed, soaked in cleaner and all sensors replaced.

What brand IAC valve? Some of the aftermarket fellers simply do not react as fast as the PCM expects, so, you get interesting issues.

How old are the cap/rotor/wires/plugs?

Run a spark checker on it? (can just use an old spark plug on the coil wire, See what the spark looks like, and, is it consistent.)
