can u put a 92 chrysler lebaron transmission in a 95 avenger with a 2.5, if so, is there any mods, and if yes, is it easy?

Never heard of the car htought it was the type of trans. that was in the sebring. But yeah I looked up the car and I agree.

 

No the trans will not work. Here is why, The avenger / sebring only had two engines that were stocked. 2.0L and 2.5L. The Lebaron for 1992 had two bodys, (AA) body Lebaron has 2.2 16v turbo , 2.4 turbo , 2.5L all are 4 cylinders. next was 3.0L and 3.3L natural gas. The (AJ) body has 2.4 dohc turbo, and 2.5L. 4cylinders. 3.0L and 3.3L. The bell housings not the same as the avenger. But the all the inside parts are the same. so you could use the clutckes and steel plates as well as the planetary gears and sun gear, and you can use the pump too, but not the torque converter.

 

Boy, makes one miss the days of the gen1 small block chevy. Even the big blocks had the same bellhouse pattern.

 

See thats what i want 2.5L I4 AWD Turbo. I heard that you could get .4L with the bore kit. Anymore you have to worry about overheating and cracks in the walls
