So anyway, I remember when I took it out the exhaust got a lot louder, so I was just thinking that if I just put the cat in with straight pipes behind it that it will both pass inspection and be quiet enough. It's one of those things that I'm just assuming might work, but I'll have to wait and see for sure.
true enough, but i just figure, you will still get too much of a clapping noise, and personally i think that sounds sloppy, but some people like the clappy sound. i dont know, to each his own right?

Yeah, I guess I've just spent too much time around stock cars, cause they have straight pipes from the headers back, and I've always like that sound.

ill admit it sounds nice when its idleing or when your only on the gas a bit, but, i just dont like the clapping sound when you stomp on the gas pedal, i like more of a bassy tone when i stomp on it

I dunno about clapping, But I have a very nice muscle carish sound now. I say that cause I had a '66 charger with a 318 in it with dual exhaust, headers and muffler only. Not cats. I have fell in love with my truck all over again. The sound is perfect. And I get to **** off a lot of the squares :P

I love p1$$ing the upitty stiffs around here. They are so up tight about themselves and the enviroment. So while they are trying to get from work to home in 30 seconds doing 80 or 90 on the highway I love just doing the posted speed limit at rush hour. They get p1$$ed off until they come around the side and look in to see me already looking at them (and I am not a little guy by any means). Then they calmly look forward and proceed down the road :P

LOL! I usually do about 10 over the posted speed limit on my way home from school. But yeah, I get the same responses from the people who think they can go 80-90 in rush hour traffic! I'm about 6'1" and 195 lbs and I can bench over 200 lbs, so I'm not small either! LOL, I love my truck though, its smells horrible cause it has no cats, so people usually don't tailgate me, and my truck is lifted enough to look pretty mean from the front, so when I come barreling up behind someone they usually get out of my way! And like you said, when they're next to me and look at me they usually look away and drive off or slow down!

LMAO! Awesome. I am 6'4'' and 245lbs. It doesnt take much for people to take me seriously. And often times they think I am coming off as an @$$ when I am just trying to explain something. One of my college professors would never meet me in his office to discuss my homework. But he was about 4' nothing and 100 lbs. :P
