aceleration hesitation! 94 Dakota V-6 3.9L
i dont know where to start, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS NOT ON!!! i have replaced: egr, pcv, cut out catalytic converter, plugs/wires, distributor cap/rotator. When i acelerate(in any gear) my truck hesitates and jerks. i do not believe that it would be a problem with the fuel system, but i could be wrong, i leave for school in a month and need to get this fixed fast! it is bad enough that i will not drive on the highway. It has gotten better since replacing everything but i want the problem gone. I really need advice fast

I'm curious what spark plugs you put in when you replaced them. If they are multiple electrode plugs, take them out. Our engines run the best with Autolite 3923s, and you can get all 6 for less than $10. The 3923s are not listed at autoparts stores as being for our engines, so you'll have to ask for them by part number and not mention what they are going in. Gap should be .035"

I guess that depends on what stores are in your area. There are several online stores you could go to, like rockauto.com for one.
I would like to make one correction to my first post...
Here is a link from FAQ2 for the Factory Service Manual for the '95 Dakota (identical to your '94)...

Download that manual and look up the procedures for checking the MAP sensor and TPS before you buy new ones. All you need is a digital multimeter. If both of those pass the test, it could be the o2 sensor is bad.

10-4. Then I definately say go with everything else I said, and let us know which one fixes it if any of them do!!
Also, I don't know your driving habits, but if you never use that engine (if you baby it everywhere), then once the hesitation goes away, run it up to about 4500 rmps a couple times in 1st or 2nd gear and that should clean out any possible carbon buildup, which might help it a little bit more. I run my engine up to 4800-5000 rpm on a daily basis and my truck has never had a miss or hesitation of any sort nor has it ever had any odd smoke come out the exhaust like carbon (black) or blow-by (blue).
