Default One turn signal doesn't work :(

So, i was coming home one day and i turned on my right turn signal and it just stayed on. No flashing, blinking or twitching. The other turn signal works just fine though so i know it's not the flasher relay. When i manually turn the signal on and off it works fine, unless i'm on the brake. If i'm holding the brake down then the light only slightly flickers when i manually turn it on and off. Any ideas? I'm kinda workin on a budget here so i don't wanna take it in to a dealer if i don't have to.

Sounds to me like you have a burned out bulb on that side, just check front and back.

failing a bulb, could be the flasher itself. im not sure, but i think our trucks have dual flashers

all the bulbs are fine. just replaced them. Yes, the 1st Gen Dakota's are on dual flashers and the wiring schematic on them is actually quite simple. (i've been spending some time lookin this stuff up now because of my problem) I talked to one of my friend's who is a diesel mechanic in Chicago and he worked some magic and got it to work. What we think happened is that the socket stretched itself out over time and the bulb wasn't making a proper connection. The fix was pretty simple. Bend the socket back into place with a ball peen hammer

had more problems with those back sockets than you can count, finally replaced them for 10 bucks a piece and all is well.
