Back in the US guys!

Went to the garage, took a look at it. Still looks great!
Got all my stuff in today that I bought online.
Had to buy a special drill bit (size "U", .368") for the Heli-Coil, waiting on that from Snap-On, than I can fix the threads for the caliper slide pin.

Tomorrow morning, gonna try to get the torsion bar fixed. (Stuck adjustment bolt)
Than, see what's up with the brake lights (always on). And bench-test the master cylinder.

No burn-outs from my truck. That V-6 just doesn't put out enough power!

I got my seat covers on the other day. I felt the arm rest and the center seat was left open. So I decided to cut up my old seat cover. Here is how it came out below.

Don't get me wrong stock was fine. It is in good shape. I just like the logos.

Here is the old covers. You can see the open spot in the center.

Here is the New covers with the center covered up.

Picked up what is hopefully the last of the parts before the truck gets back on the road.
Messed with the parking brake. Made a thread asking for some assistance.
Reassembled the drivers rear brake.

Uhh... got mad, threw a pair of needle nose.
Just another day working on the truck.

I dug out my Dak and started for the first time since Sept 09. It started on the first turn but after warming up for 20 mins it started pissing coolant under the dash and out of that little drainer thing above the left exhuast manifold. I'm guessing the heater core musta died. For now i bypassed the heater until i can gather enough money and find the time to rip the dash out.

Its not as hard as it looks. The dashes are pretty easy to take apart. Just take pics as you go so you can do a build thread to show others how its done.

I took mine apart last summer trying to figure out why the vent door wasn't changing. I thought it was an actuator but discovered further that it was a plastic pin that holds the door in place had broke. So I put it all back together till I can find a donor truck to pull a working door out of at the junk yard. And I live an hour away from the closest junk yard. In the mean time I installed a valve under the hood to turn off the supply to the heater core when I don't need heat. otherwise the heat is on all the time cause of the way the door is cocked in there.

Good luck with that.
