That sounds exactly opposite of a bad battery. Normally when battery's sit, they loose there charge and after the vehicle has been running, it regains a charge. Im wondering if it has to do with a sensor? Is there a engine light lit up?

If it was carborated, I would say the choke is sticking. My manual says it could be a clogged air filter but Im not sure how that would effect the engine after its been warm?

Probably going to have to get your truck scanned... I read a post similar to yours so you might want to look into this...

User posted on a different site... "A bunch of codes came up and led then to a faulty CO sensor that had shorted out in a wire bundle behind the distributor. This short also burned the wiring to the dash fan motor causing it to go out. After changing the CO sensor and burned wiring truck runs fine once again."

So maybe give that a look over?

The scanner will tell you whats wrong, there is many possibilities, fuel pressure, CAT....

It could be the power splice. They tend to corode. Check the FAQ in this section for a nice write up on it with pics.
