Default Look what came home with me today.

So the back ground story; found it sitting on the side of the road and the pwner wanted 550. so it was worth a call in my book (the wife still thinks its hidous..wemon) call and took a look. guy right off the bat said he didn't know much about cars and such but his kid bought it and then didn't get his license so it sat in a barn for the winter. I'm looking and making my usual "that dont look good" faces. and i tell the guy well it needs new front brakes for sure, the water in the coolant tank needs to be changed, all the belts are cracked and just waitin' to break, and the valves tick and she is missing on at least 2 cylinders. Ok well talk to my kid because its his. call the kid tell him best i can do is $200. hot dam 24 hrs later and she is mine hook line and sinker. EVERY THING WORKS. All the lights, sig, high/low beam, reverse, brake, interior, and dash, heater controls work at all settings, although ther is a mouse nest in there (blew mose smelling ****/**** fluf all over the cab on the high way) the Gas gauge works perfectly, wipers work at all speeds, no washer fluid but i'm sure that works too.. she shifts nice, a little sponge down the road but for 200 i'm not complaining. I'll post some pics...in a few.

awesome. i got a dak for $250, sold it for $600.

These trucks seem to last a loooooong time. They don't have the best paint, and usually are in bad shape cosmetically (1st gen daks do not age well) but they are VERY reliable.

well last night I washed it, going againced my rule of showing a little love for it as possible, but in my defence to myself i justified it because no one wants to work on a greasy motor...well i do but its nice when there a little cleaner.

Looks like a good project. It defiantly needs some rust repair.
