That's it? I don' think my old 88 has much of what is needed to shift an auto transmission anyway if I DID put an auto in I can always just grab a computer then from what I take the transmission out of and hide it under the chassis by the transmission so it saves space under the hood. I think my current transmission shift by pressure instead of electronically right?

Nice build so far!
Thanks, painting the mesh black was the plan but I wanted to see it unpainted first.

Its its a 727 trans then nothing is needed, but if its an RH style then you will need it for the shift points if I recall correctly, might be wrong on that though.

No I get you on that part, I just do not know what kind of transmission I have right now (judging by the way it shifts its pressure).

Do you know what else the computer is used for besides transmission, ignition, abs (when applies) and emissions??

Pretty sure it does gauges too, but seeing as yours is an 88 they might be manual units especially with those dummy lights.

So I had the neighbors daughter pump the brakes while I bled them and she does not drive yet and pushed way too hard...blew the rear flex line so I had to replace that now too. The mount has completely rusted away and I am not putting much work into this POS chassis so I will have to figure something out...maybe zip ties?

I painted the 7.25 red as a joke....anyway the red line to the passenger wheel is only a year old because it went on me. I ran out of line so I had to splice two together for the drivers side but nothing has to look good under this truck I assume it's still safe? There are no leaks....

Did everything I could to save these drums for now haha the heavy duty shoes I installed 2 years ago/6k miles are barley worn, I want to just convert to discs from a Grand Cherokee:

Finally with rear holding pressure again I went to make sure I can free the front bleeders and they are frozen, so now I had to replace the flucking calipers too! Good thing because it made me pay attention to the front flex hoses...

Yup both the front flex hoses needed to be replaced too I am so lucky they have been holding but I believe even though I was not really loosing fluid they were probably sucking in air!

I should do my ball joints and tie rod ends soon too, good thing is the new rotors I put on (over-sized) 2 years ago/6k and the over-sized pads are barley worn I hope they were not the hard lifetime warranty pads. I am still waiting on some front flex hoses but did I put the spring steel wire loop on correctly? I have the long side OVER the mount insert pegs so the long side bends to the curve of the rotor...or does it go under the mount insert pegs and stay straight??

Don't blame the neighbour kid for pushing to hard, the rear line was probably on its way out and needed replacing. It just happened to blow while bleeding. I do not believe she could press hard enough to blow an otherwise good line.

No but with the way I drive it would not have blown the line, however a kid running out in front of me might so it is good I caught it.

dont underestimate little kids. my youngest brother(who was 9 at the time) was helping me get hook up a flat bed trailer to my truck and hit the brakes hard enough to blow out my rear wheel cylinders(and yes he had flat bed hook up experience at the time).

Pink, keep up the good work. did you replace the brake line running from the prop valve to the rear?

Is the prop valve that thing under the drivers door??

My grandfather had already replaced the hard lines less than 5 years ago from that unit to the rear after they failed and the truck hit a telephone pole lol.
