Here is a link to the doug thurley headers company. http://www.dougthorleyheaders.com/ I did a search for a 87, 93, and a 96 Dakota. They show nothing available. Considering you are on a 1st gen. Dakota forum, I figured that would cover most apps. As jkeaton said, what are you working? ie. year, engine, 2 or 4 wd, etc.

Looking at their website, I don't think they make anything for your truck. That being said, I don't think anyone makes anything other then shorty headers for the 4wd Dakotas. I sure wish someone made a long tube header...
FWIW my experience has always been with chevys so dodge may be different. That said, I don't believe there is much if any gain with shorty headers vs factory manifolds. But usually a lot more leaking problems with the headers. That said, I would really think twice before purchasing them, espicallly on a stock motor.

Yeah the difference is negligible between the shorties and the stock manifolds that are on my truck. I would spend the money elsewhere. I guess it's a matter of finding a private seller who does not want them anymore. Just looking into a future build.

It seems that there are old threads/forums that mention long tube headers were once an option for gen 1 dakota's. However, I do not have enough evidence to substantiate that claim.
