Yah, that A/C gets fixed This Weekend.

Even if I have to buy lights and work on it at midnight!

Got the HVAC box out. Note: The long sides are NOT top and bottom, but lower-right and upper-left (to the truck; lower-right and upper-left if you're looking over the motor) for the four bolts for the HVAC box. There's one by the condensate drain, one right above, one about 6" to the passenger side about 1/2 up and down between those two, and one over below the heater core tubes on the driver's side.

That one by the passenger side took a bit to find; the driver's side almost lines up with the top one over the condensate drive.

EDIT: Didn't think to take pictures going apart, but I'll take pictures going together.

Edit 2: Just as a FYI ... if you use Great Stuff or some other expanding foam to fixate the evaporator (or heater!) core, tape it in place first (using tape out of the air stream, natch!) THEN after shooting the foam in, put the lid on so that you can, well, put the lid on. Took an extra 30 minutes of trimming of the foam where it bowed the firewall side out a bit when it expanded ... *facepalms at self*

And of COURSE the vacuum line broken isn't just a vacuum line but part of the "Vacuum Line Retainer".

And of COURSE part 6015778 is NLA.

*grumbles*

Going to have to McGuyver something, I see.

Addendum: 1/8" silicon vacuum line, and two Adel(tm) clamps, and I'm back in business. It'll be sloppy/floppy hose, so I might put some of it in a hunk of aluminum or copper tubing to rigidize it, but overall, a successful MacGuyver (mispeld earlier.)

A few pics attached.

Foam In Place to hold evaporator

More of the foam in place; trimmed to not hit the blend door.

Replacement Vacuum lines in place - notice the Adel clamps to hold them without abrading.

Ain't she purdy!

Might be; the spray can says "Seafoam", and it's Rustoleum

Doesn't matter to me.

Another friend said, "How'd you get old Chrysler Corporate Blue? I thought that was discontinued!!" So, make of that what you will.

Hee!

I just might while the seat is out; it's a perfect excuse to pull the master cylinder off the booster so I can clean it up a bit (and touch up the push rod adjustment for Justin Case, my cousin.)
