No it did not; i'm back to the crank/no start. If i get it to start again then i'll keep my foot on the gas and see if it stays running. The battery disconnect cleared that code as well and it has not returned after two start attempts.

i wont know until my mech bud is able to drive over and help me out. Actually, i could probably learn how to check the fuel pressure; autozone rents a gauge for 150.00. thanks for reminding i need to check for fuel air and spark now, While its in the no start state.

got some carb spray? Try a little in the air intake, see if it fires..... this being a 91 it is TBI, you should see fuel spray from the injectors as someone cranks it over... that would be a start w/o yet having to test pressure.

Excellent idea. Considering how much of a hassle it is to put a pressure gauge on the TBI fellers. No convenient schrader valve for that exercise like on the port fuel injected engines. (well, all but the 97's anyway.)

And with fuel spraying, it's within about 1PSI either side (over 15.5 PSI, the injector pistons can't lift to spray ... )

Hey Ralph; i didn't realize the pressure had to be that precise. ya think part of my problem might be the fuel pressure regulator?

NEVER MIND. we tested that part and did not see any fuel coming out of the hose that goes on the regulator.
