I have not only seen a 4 cylinder Dakota, ive owned one, because that was the first Dakota i ever owned, and, because of that truck, i almost never owned another one. As for having the wrong year, the original clip from the red lifted truck is the one i took the headlights, marker lights, and bezels from, and, that truck is titled as a 91, and the build date on it is Dec of 90, and the marker lights, headlight buckets, and light surrounds would not fit any of my 92 to 95 trucks.

Dude, I have no idea what to tell you.

The original parts list is in the FAQ; it does NOT show those parts for a 1991.

And that red lifted truck does NOT have a 1991 front clip on it.

Won't say it wasn't changed before you bought it ...

Go back and re-read what i said about it. It is a 91 that had an 89 front clip swapped to it, and has Ford axles under it, but, when i got it, i also got all the original parts that came off it.

Ok well I dry fitted the 91 core support fits in fine and so does the hood took a bit of time lining up the hood but it looks amazing so far. my next question should I get an alignment after the hit and on a radiator I bought one from the JY but the inside has a crud ton of build up could I use CLR (CALCIUM,LIME,RUST) remover to clean the inside or just get a new radiator. I also had to replace the idler pulley next to the tensioner pulley, it got boogered up in the hit but I took a bubble level to make sure all the pulleys was still plumb including the water pump which was still inline.

Theres a lot of parts I'd only buy new, radiator is one of them. Unless it visually still looks new that it is.

I agree with this assessment. They aren't all that expensive either, in the overall scheme of things.

My $.02, for what its worth, i wouldn't even try cleaning, or even using a used radiator, especially one full of crud. CLR MIGHT get it clean, but, if its that bad, CLR might just expose whatever pinholes it may have in it, or not get it completely clean, and then whatever gunk is left ends up in the rest of the system. As for the alignment, i would at least have it checked, especially if it hasn't been done in awhile. The pulleys may look straight by eye, and may even be, but, the only way i have ever found to know for sure is put the belt on and watch them while its running. Any misalignment or off balance or out of round issues will definitely show up then, but, i would also check to make sure none of them got bent even a little on the front of them.

If it's all metal, I'd take it to a real radiator shop to be taken apart, rodded out, rebuilt, and put back in.

If it's not all metal, I'd dump it and buy a new one.

While buying, see if you can find (in the junkyard!) an Extreme Cooling radiator and fan shroud; buy the shroud, order a new radiator. Your truck will thank you for it.

Edit: If you must buy a Spectra Premium, order it off Amazon. When the last one I bought from them (so I didn't have to wait for my all-metal one to be rebuilt!) sprung a leak, they shipped a replacement, and didn't want the broken one back. That's something! (Died within 2 months, so that's something also ... )

I would love to know where you live that you actually have shops that will do that. Where i live, there hasnt been a radiator rebuild shop in almost 15 years. The guy closed because he said new radiators were getting cheaper than he could rebuild them for.

Bossier City, LA.

Blackburn Radiator of Bossier City is about 2.5 miles from my house; Harville Radiator is up in North Shreveport, right across the river.

Yah, they're rarer now than they used to be. But some places still have them.

We also have a lot of race cars being built here; there's at least four race car building shops (mostly circle track etc. but still ... )

Also a lot of oil field workers and oil work; they use radiators of various kinds (not always water/air!) out the wazoo.

Shucks, a major Haliburton office is about half way from my house and Blackburn. Blackburn will be getting my metal one to rebuild; it IS more than a Spectra is, but the Spectra is part plastic ... meh.
