I was lucky; usually The Flu is worse for me than what I had! Some of it settled in my lungs, but I kept coughing the phlegm out and so was clear quickly.

Got my new horn and horn relay installed; horn is a https://www.ebay.com/itm/LOUD-COMPAC...B/391707440166 .

It doesn't fit where the factory horn fits; I may go back and see about putting it inside the fender. It's not quite enough to make a train engineer go "DaFUG is DAT???" but it's louder than the two failed WOLO horns.

Glass off both tow mirrors; time to do the hole for the LED in the cupholder (one on the driver's side so it shines away from the driver, but still lights the cupholder up), and get the battery ready to fill the small hole left by the sheetrock screw the transmission guys put in because it's too hard to replace a bad bolt in a battery terminal ... Oh, and add the sequential amber arrows to the tow mirrors (hence the removal of the glass.) Was glad that I could buy the glass as a replacement.

Here's a few pics.

It won't be in MY eyes!

I reseated it before I epoxied it.

Glass removal was a pane .

Had to drill this hole for the wiring.

The mirror isn't complete yet; I still need to drill holes for #6 countersunk screws, mount the rear clamps so the wire doesn't wave all over the place, and run the wiring inside the mirror housing.

I'll have pics of that tomorrow.

Well, I dropped the driver's side mirror AFTER putting the new glass on, so it's all broken up.

I'll get a local glass shop to fix that for me.

In the meantime, today I did oil, oil filter, and air filter on the 1988 Dakota. Oil was right at 10,000 miles (been busy, except when I was sick ... and then it was either blistering hot or raining on the days I felt tolerable! So it's blistering hot today, but it's been too long.)

Used Rotella T6 5W40 for my oil this change.

Dat's purdy, 93 ragtop!

I'm doing my A/C today - got the new compressor on, one line flushed and the condensor flushed. About to go back out and flush the evaporator and the other line, then I'll start reassembling.

I might have cold air by the time Marco Laura hits ...

I need some new curse words.

As I was removing the alternator, the bracket ... let me know it was broken.

Right where the alternator tightens up.

There's three possible donor trucks in Shreveport and Texarkana. An 87, an 88, and an 89. But I really REALLY didn't want to fight that bracket again after I FINALLY got it bolted down to where it wouldn't buzz ...

Sorry to hear that Ralph, if there was one that vintage in the upull here in Des Moines I'd get it and send it your way. Unfortunately there hasn't been one that age for a while now. I'm seeing a couple 92-94 range but they're just trickling in for the most part.
