Yah, it'll have to be that old.

GOOD news! My W/O in Texarkana is now for Saturday morning; that means I can check that 1988 out Saturday and get that bracket if it's good and I want to.

I might drop it off Monday at the powder coater's and get it powder coated. If I do, I REALLY ought to buy the other three bracket pieces and get THEM powder coated. Four, if I count that dogleg that seems to be broken in all of the trucks I've checked on.

In case anyone was interested . Laura blew through, knocked about half my parish (county to the other contiguous states) was without power, including Yours Truly. By 5 PM Thursday they had all around my block back up. My block, OTOH, is still suffering powerloss.

I will be back online sooner or later.

Good to know you are safe Ralph. I'm glad the surge was less than predicted.

Bummer. I make it a point to always have at least one back up generator. I've got two right now. I've never had a lengthy power outage since I got one. If I don't have one, you can bet the power will go out. Although I do wonder how you posted with no internet.

Power is back, but Internet, not so much.

Refreigerator/freezer is as clean as it's ever been!

Order coming in from Kroger's to help fill the 'fridge back up.

Ralph, good to hear things are coming back online. Up here in Iowa we had some devastation couple weeks back that took power down for a lot of people and made a mess out of a lot of trees. I lost branches and half a pine into the neighbors yard, power down from Monday noon until Thursday afternoon and I was one of the lucky ones. They had to bring in 4 poles for one block and who knows how many others for areas I didn't go look at.

I got lucky, didn't open fridge or freezer and had plastic bottles frozen in there for cooler stock. Found some ice Tuesday night and transferred perishables to cooler, neighbor fired up a generator and powered my fridge during the day on Wednesday, didn't lose anything fortunately. I was glad to be back up with the AC on Thursday, it was starting to get uncomfortable again.

Marion and Cedar Rapids had it worse, still not sure everyone over that way has power. Des Moines was luckier
