Default Got it running....

Finally got the 5.9 installed and running. Ran it about 8 miles. Now I need to take care of a bunch of little stuff. Straighten up wiring, hook up ac, Air cleaner, etc.
Just though I would share some pictures.

Thanks!! Just got back from putting about another 30 miles on it..... Running it easy for a few hundred miles, but can tell you it sure pulls a lot better then the 125 hp motor that was in it!!

Wait till ya drive it in the rain, and can't start from stops, because you have too little traction.

I kept the motor stock, (for now) other then the intake, carb, HEI distributor, no cat, and a dynomax turbo muffler.

FWIW, it seems all these projects cost twice as much as I plan, and take three times longer then planned.

Par for the course.

No battle plan ever survives contact with the enemy.

Glad to see its running, You will have alot of extra wires. The 3.9 is kindof gutless.

It should be fun to drive.

Thanks Glen,
I reused part of the alt. wiring, the temp. guage wire, and the oil pressure wire. Reused the battery cables, but that was about it. Will be reusing the ac wiring, and I added wiring for the choke, the distributor, fan wires, and sensors.
It does have a lot more power then the v6...... went from 125 to about 250hp. Not bad, but its nothing like the hemi's!!
