Here it is on the dyno! I screwed up with my video of one of the pulls, so my only video is idling. Next Wednesday I bring it home.

There is a silver lining, though. Check out these numbers. Advertised from GM at 525 hp, 489 tq, and out of the box it was here: 544 hp, 503 tq

I brought the drivetrain home today. This is a very good starting point for this truck project. While in town I also picked up some steel sheet for boxing in the chassis. As our British friends say, that's a nice bit of kit!

I picked up a new engine stand. It rotates 360 degrees by crank. It was worth the money just for the back-saving feature. If the motor decided to flop over during turning, I know I would be dumb enough to try and catch it. I have to turn the engine upside down to swap the oil pan, the one that came on it won't clear the cross member on the Dakota chassis.

I think we are related. We seem to indulge a lot of the same stupidity.

That's a NICE stand. How much did that set ya back?
