I ordered Ford Racing p/n M-4700-B, Clutch Packs with friction modifier. Next step on the rear end is to wire wheel the entire outside, then start the inside cleaning process. Once clean inside and out, I will start the mock up of the rear suspension. Weather is intruding on my shop time. We are under blizzard warning until Sunday morning, with up to 30" of snow possible. 60 mph winds to go with it. With that wind speed I cannot heat the shop. No heat, no worky. The wind won't allow the smoke to go out the chimney, it gets blown back out the stove and into the shop. Once the axle tubes and suspension brackets are welded on, it will get painted and assembled.

I may have asked this before, but, Where are you? 30" of snow??? Ouch. It was sunny and 70's on Tuesday here, of course, it snowed on Wednesday.... and its been in the 30's since then....

I am just south of Carson City, NV. About 30 minutes east of Lake Tahoe and the Sierra Nevada mountain range. I live in the Carson Valley, and my house is at 4800 ft elev. This is the view off my front porch looking west. The low point on the mountain range at the right side of that shot is Heavenly Valley ski resort.

That's gorgeous. I can see why you live there.

Do you know the Cartwright's?

(I know, probably not the first time you've been asked but I had to ask it anyway)

Actually, we were married on the Ponderosa Ranch! That was when it still existed, though, some 35 years ago. That picture does not do this area justice. It is a wonderful place to live. We retired here 6 years ago and haven't regretted one bit. Having lived in So Cal for the previous 55 years, the winters have taken some getting used to. It's great to see seasonal change which we never had down south. We purchased a brand new home here on an acre of land. A year later I had my shop built. We have finally completed all of the landscaping in the back yard. At least once a month both of us have a "pinch me" moment. We are truly blessed to have ended up in this situation in retirement!

I think The Death Ride comes over the hill somewhere close to where that picture is taken. I did it in 2000. Only made 3 passes.

The Death Ride is out of Markleeville, which is about a half hour south of here.

The first pass goes over that ridge and drops down into the Carson valley then turn around and go right back up. Yup as I understand it that is how Markleeville makes most of its money for civic services. The people of the town volunteer and refill water bottles as you ride etc to make it happen.
