Yes, single wire. And my gauge works so I feel better my repair worked. Not easy at my age working on those skinny wires buried in the engine.

 

Oh, I hear ya on that one brother. I've gotten to the point that I just pay someone else to deal with it...... I just can't do it any more.

 

I was just thinking the same today. My days of messing with automobiles (and other stuff) are coming to an end. You have more of an excuse than me...you have a malady to deal with on top of age factors. You'd make a good mentor to a grandchild or some young students. You don't have to work, just use your brain. It's a valuable resource. But then, I have no idea what is going thru the minds of our youth anymore. Seems no one wants to learn a skill anymore.

I have that cruise control coming up later in the week. I have a couple questions I want to ask so I'll post a new thread in the next day or two.

 

My granddaughter wanted to help me one day. That was touching. I think she was about 8 at the time, and wearing this pretty skirt, and blouse.... I pointed out to her that if she got dirty 'playin' with grandpa', grandpa would be the one to suffer for it...... she thought about that for a minute, then smiled, giggled, and said "I will grub clothes next time."..... She was interested for a while, but, then she was a teenager..... So much for that. My bio-son was NEVER interested, which is just as well, he just wasn't mechanically inclined, at all.... I think those opportunities have passed me by.... the kids are either too old to care any more, or disinterested in anything even remotely resembling 'work'..... I think a teachers assistant position at the local tech school would be a blast, but, I just am not reliable enough to hold the position. That, and I like working in an air conditioned environment..... and those kind of auto shops are exceedingly rare.

So, I hang out on forums, from the comfort of my office chair, in my air conditioned office. Works for me.

 

When they're 8 they don't know they're girls yet. Once they realize it, clothes and makeup kinda push the wrenches out of the way.
