Sounds right but it is not new technology. It dates back to WWII. He's just bringing it back to life because of rising fuel costs to make a buck.

Anyway if I connect something to my motor, I WANT TO KNOW HOW TO DO IT! I'm not just going to spend some time and money, (which to me is expensive) to put my motor on the chopping block as well as many other down stream issues.

The question is….. How to modify the incoming messages to set the PCM to burn at the right ratio?

Just to look at the Statue of Liberty and not give a **** about why it is there is absolutely a crock of ****.

I have to ask……Is this how you feel about the troops?

Ok I am with Hydra on this one. First I have been looking in the 2 dak forums and found this chart.
Open and Closed Loop Operation:

There are 7 different modes (conditions) that are used (besides Key-ON and Key-Off mode). Here is a table of what sensors are monitored and what determines the mode. One thing to remember, under OPEN LOOP Operation, the O2 Sensor(s) are ignored by the PCM.

Engine Start-Up Mode (OPEN LOOP)
Battery Voltage
Coolant Temp
Crank Position
Intake Air Temp (IAT)
MAP
TPS
Starter Motor Relay

Cam Position Engine Warm-Up Mode (OPEN LOOP)
Battery Voltage
Coolant Temp
Crank Position
Intake Air Temp (IAT)
MAP
TPS
Cam Position
Park/Neutral Safety Switch (Automatics Only)

Idle mode (Once at Operating Temp: CLOSED LOOP)
A/C Select (if equipped)
A/C Request (if equipped)
Battery Voltage
Coolant Temp
Crank Position
Intake Air Temp (IAT)
MAP
TPS
Cam Position
O2 Sensors

Park/Neutral Safety Switch (Automatics Only) Cruise Mode (CLOSED LOOP)
A/C Select (if equipped)
A/C Request (if equipped)
Battery Voltage
Coolant Temp
Crank Position
Intake Air Temp (IAT)
MAP
TPS
Cam Position
O2 Sensors
Park/Neutral Safety Switch (Automatics Only)

Acceleration Mode (OPEN LOOP)
A/C Select (if equipped)
A/C Request (if equipped)
Battery Voltage
Coolant Temp
Crank Position
Intake Air Temp (IAT)
MAP
TPS
Cam Position
Vehicle Speed Sensor

Park/Neutral Safety Switch (Automatics Only) Deceleration Mode (OPEN LOOP)
A/C Select (if equipped)
A/C Request (if equipped)
Battery Voltage
Coolant Temp
Crank Position
Intake Air Temp (IAT)
MAP
TPS
Cam Position
Park/Neutral Safety Switch (Automatics Only)
Vehicle Speed Sensor

Wide Open Throttle - WOT (OPEN LOOP)
Battery Voltage
Coolant Temp
Crank Position
Intake Air Temp (IAT)
MAP
TPS
Cam Position

Second Hydra In the 2Dak HHO thread there is a member named nomo who says a budy of his has a mason jar and a chip on his truck. Mileage went from 17 to 25! Say bo that's good enough for me he doesn't specify what brand of chip, so I figured maybe you could pm him and find out whats up

I put a cantalope under the hood of my Durango and now I'm getting 27.8 mpg. I've heard that it will do even better with a watermelon but I couldn't find a place to put it.

There is getting to be some troublesome issues going on here. Some people just cannot believe the idea of burning a different type of fuel. Remember that this info is not new in any means.

DRO318<-----Thanks for all the info. I will deliver him a PM.

gr8scott72<-----You simply are forgetting the basis of oxygen and hydrogen. Think about it and please understand the basis of your comments.

My problem is there aren't any professionals saying that it works. Only people saying "yeah, I hooked it up and now I get this"

Not only that, the engineers, etc, all say that it WON'T work to a degree that would be worth it.

Show me documented proof from a well known engineering firm, university, etc that shows that it works.

My other problem is that if it really did work, don't you think the engineers working at the car manufacturers would already be using it? I mean if it's that easy for them to get their fleet MPG average up why aren't they doing it?

People want maintance free cars. The hydrogen car has been being experimented with for quite some time. I don't quite understand your concept here. I mean you have a point but remember, "Don't knock it until you try it"

The cars we own right now don't have the option so we have to make due. So far I haven't had the time to perform these options and we have users coming together to experiment with it. We are still awaiting their answers.

Hydrogen is combustible like it or not.

So you're saying that the car manufacturers don't use it because the general public is happy with a 15 mpg vehicle and doesn't want the same vehicle to get 25 mpg if they have to change out some water? I don't buy that.

I am still just curious as to why no one can provide proof from professional places like engineering firms, universities, etc. that show that it works. Controlled environment with UNBIASED engineers that are qualified in that field.

So I am saying that this system takes maintenance. People need to add to this weekly which means opening the hood and other types. If you read the thread then you would know what we are talking about and not just jump into this conversation.

Now the Government used this, so you ask if there was any info on this subject or engineering then I guess I just answered your question. Why don't you take point and E-mail them or do some hours of searching for info instead of just sitting on the sidelines pointing fingers.

Now 15 MPG cars were manufactured so we have to deal with it. Sure I guess we can buy a more fuel efficient vehicle but we all ready own them.

I think I can speak for all of us here. Now I love my truck. My know how as well as my upgrades show my interest as well as my time spent here.
