The motor was checked out at my local garage. The mech applied a voltage to it and it worked so Im sure the motor is good. Im thinking the only thing left to try is another TCCM.

I'm looking for a transfer case control module for my 2001 durango, 4.7liter. Are they specific to year, engine size, or would one from a dakota work? Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Is there a way to convert this to manual switch to eliminate the electronics?
Just curious.

no you cannot make your t-case manual shift, if you put a different t-case MAYBE, but its really not worth the expense IMO. and your best bet for a TCCM is one that has a matching part number, although i believe one off a truck with the same t-case will work too

Call here, have your part no. ready, they do have one, dont remember the part# though.
I called them this morning to see what they had, and if it was cheaper.
$75 same as the one I got.but 3 times the distance to drive.

Default 4WD Issues

1999 Durango 4WD 5.9l
Got the 2H, 4H, N, 4L

I had this thing in 4WD for a very short time, just to check if all was good.
Now, trying to shift from 2H to 4H...should there be a light in the dash telling me it's in 4wd? It will shift to 4L without trouble and then back to...well, who knows what. I can push the shifter all the way to 2H but I get this humming sound from under my car you would expect from it being in 4WD, it uses way more fuel than it should and I can't shift from 2H to 4H. Something seems to be stuck?

Sorry if I am confusing here but it is late and I sense if I want answers THIS is the place.

TY for any advise...
