Angry Wheel bearing

Is there a possible way not to replace a wheel bearing hub. A new one cost bout 190 smackers. Used one for about 100. Mine has gone bad making grinding noise while driving. This truck is killing me one thing after another.

Never buy a used bearing. 4 wheel ABS versions cost $229 each. Consider the $190 a deal. They do last however. One of my fronts was replaced at 96,000 and the other at 193,000. Once you start losing one with the brushing, then rubbing, then grinding you'll know it.

+1 on not buying used hub/bearing assemblys.

Here is a website $128 for the Rear ABS and $194 for 4wheel ABS

if you have a hydraulic press, you can buy the SET815 bearing and replace the bad one.

This link confirms the application: http://www.autozone.com/autozone/cat...entId=cat30059

but, buy it from Rockauto. $55.79

1. Remove snap ring.
2. Press out old bearing.
3. Lube bearing OD and hub ID. Press in new bearing. Make sure you press only on the outer edge of the bearing.
4. Replace snap ring.

BTW, I have one in my hand thanks to my dad, so I know it fits.
