OK. I have a '99 5.2. No electric fan. If I pick up one of these 16" 2500 CFM fans and mount it to the rad with no space like the little one is on the later models to run whenever the key is on will the bulk of it negate any effects the factory fan has?
What about removing the belt driven fan and installing 2 of these in a push/pull setup in front of and behind the rads? Overkill?

Just wondering if any one has dealt with the same issue. My wifes 03 durango 5.9L was having some overheating issues. I diagnoiced the problem being the radiator which was plugged. I have replaced the clutch fan and also replaced the efan with a 14in aftermarked fan because it was out as well. The d runs cool unless you sit idle for more than 15 to 20 minutes ( all of this in about 101-105 temps ) as soon as you drive off it will cool within a couple of minutes. This will also affect the ac as well. I am thinking that the aftermark efan isn't pulling enough air and needs to be replaced with the factory type. Any ideas? Also does any one know what the factory fans cfm is? Thanks

It's some controversial information in there but good information none the less.
